This is a strange mathematical problem. Maybe you are confusing and think that equation is impossible. Let’s see what this comes from:
Here goes the story, or… a joke.

There were three mentally retarded men taken to the psychic for test. On reach the doctor’s office they were put in a line answer some questions so that to determine who has reason than the others. The firs person was asked 3*3 ( 3 times 3) ? Ask the doctor. 274 answered the first person. Huh !! Shouted the doctor. Then 2nd man was a the same question, he replied three times three equals to Tuesday. Oh lord ! The Dr shouted. Given a look to third person who is smiling, the kind of smile that can tell u a confidence. I belief u can’t be like others, said the doctor, God willing I’ll make the difference clear go ahead with your question said the third man. The doctor him asked him 3*3, the answered 9 immediately with smile and confident. That’s correct ! with happiness replied the doctor. But how do u get to that ? ask the doctor. The man said is very simple just minus 274 from Tuesday is equal to 9.

So , now we got three conclusion.

First, those three men are really mentally retarded.

Second, the third one got the right answer from a wrong way.

Third, the EQ of the doctor is not high enough to deal with those men.

And we also got one question.

Why and how can he make it?!!!

—————————-Thinking Time———————————————————-

Maybe you have thought it from a long time and gotten some clues.

First, 274 is not two hundred and seventy four. It stands for three number, two, seven, and four.

Second, the third man can’t tell the difference between Tuesday and Thursday because they are quite similar

Third, Thursday stands for the number, 4

Then this mathematical problem is solved. 2, 7 ,4 three numbers, pick up the “4″. Remaining 2 and 7 that make a sum is 9.

That is only my inference. Maybe it’s only a simple joke. But I think maybe my explanation will make it more enjoyable.

How about your Valentine’s Day last month,Guys? The White Day is coming. And do you know what is the meaning of the White Day? And how about the other 11 days which are related with the “14th”?

White Day was first celebrated in 1978 in Japan. It was started by the National Confectionery Industry Association (全国飴菓子工業協同組合) as an “answer day” to Valentine’s Day on the grounds that men should pay back the women who gave them chocolate and other gifts on Valentine’s Day. In 1977 a Fukuoka-based confectionery company, Ishimura Manseido (石村萬盛堂), marketed marshmallows to men on March 14, calling it Marshmallow Day (マシュマロデー).

Soon thereafter, confectionery companies began marketing white chocolate. Now, men give both white and dark chocolate, as well as other edible and non-edible gifts, such as jewelry or objects of sentimental value, or white clothing like lingerie, to women from whom they received chocolate on Valentine’s Day one month earlier. If the chocolate given to him was giri choco, the man as well may not be expressing actual romantic interest, but rather a social obligation.

Black Day (April 14) is a South Korean informal tradition for single people (a.k.a. Unit Solo/Solo Regiment, lee: 솔로부대) to get together and eat Jajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce), sometimes a white sauce is mixed for those who did not celebrate White Day.

Also do you know that there are 12 Valentine’s Day in a year !
14th Jan — Diary Day
14th Feb — Valentine’s Day
14th Mar — White Day
14th Apr — Black Day (Singles’ Day in South Korea)
14th May — Yellow &Rose Day
14th Jun — Kiss Day
14th Jul — Silver Day
14th Aug — Green Day
14th Sep — Music &Photo Day
14th Oct — Wine Day
14th Nov — Orange & Movie Day
14th Dec — Hug Day
Faint… So very 14th day of each month are all tabled with some purpose. Then the lovers will also find topic to do, isn’t it ?
Who will be the happiest people?　The girls ? No exactly, I think the merchants are happier than anyone .
And how about the boys…

PS: Some materials come from wikipedia.

2009 comes finally, I wish everyone happy new year ~ No matter the happiness and the sadness in 2008, we will have a band new year now! Just like Obama always pulls the word “change” on his mouth, I believe that the world will change to a better world for us.
And also celebrate the page rank of my little blog raise to 3 Thanks everyone who come to visit this blog and help me to improve it.

Then let’s share a little story about the new year’s day.

New Year’s Day is the first day of the new year. On the modern Gregorian calendar, it is celebrated on January 1, as it was also in ancient Rome (though other dates were also used in Rome). In all countries using the Gregorian calendar as their main calendar, except for Israel, it is a public holiday, often celebrated with fireworks at the stroke of midnight as the new year starts. January 1 on the Julian calendar corresponds to January 14 on the Gregorian calendar, and it is on that date that followers of some of the Eastern Orthodox churches celebrate the New Year.

Originally observed on March 15 in the old Roman Calendar, New Year’s Day first came to be fixed in January 1, 153 BC, when the two Roman consuls, after whom – in the Roman calendar – years were named and numbered, began to be chosen on that date, for military reasons. However, dates in March, coinciding with the first day of spring, or commemorating the Annunciation of Jesus, along with a variety of Christian feast dates were used throughout the Middle Ages, though calendars often continued to display the months in columns running from January to December in the Roman fashion.

Among the 7th-century pagans of Flanders and the Netherlands it was the custom to exchange gifts at the New Year, a pagan custom deplored by Saint Eligius (died 659 or 660), who warned the Flemings and Dutchmen, “[Do not] make vetulas, [little figures of the Old Woman], little deer or iotticos or set tables [for the house-elf, compare Puck] at night or exchange New Year gifts or supply superfluous drinks [another Yule custom].” The quote is from the vita of Eligius written by his companion Oueen..

Most countries in Western Europe officially adopted January 1 as New Year’s Day somewhat before they adopted the Gregorian calendar. The Feast of the Annunciation, March 25 (9 months before December 25), was the first day of the new year in England until the adoption of the Gregorian Calendar in 1752. The March 25th date was called Annunciation Style; the January 1 date was called Circumcision Style, because this was the date of the Feast of the Circumcision, being the eighth day counting from December 25.

Every year, November 21 is World Hello Day. The objective is to say hello to ten people on the day. By greeting others, the message is for world leaders to use communication rather than force to settle conflicts.

The event began in 1973 by Brian and Michael McCormack in response to the conflict between Egypt and Israel.Since then World Hello Day has been observed by people in 180 countries. It has garnered accolades from notable individuals around the globe including politicians, religious leaders, and celebrities.

Actually didn’t know today is a big day until I heard that from the radio. It brought me into deep thinking. It looks like Greeting is so common and easy for us. But is it as easy as we think of it?

The fact is not so easy. Neither giving greeting nor receiving it from others. It’s so complex that nowaday people can’t trust each other so easily even just say hello to a stranger. A statistics tells such a unbelievable comparison. When we say hello to the people walk by in the street. There is merely only one among 30 will says thanks and gives you greeting too. We can know that how un-trusted people feel between each other.

So World Hello Day is giving us a chance to say hello to others, a chance to recreate the trust of our society. Just spread this message to all of your friends and say Hello to them sincerely.

Today, November 12th, is the 142th anniversary of the birth of Sun Yat-sen.

Sun Yat-sen (November 12, 1866 – March 12, 1925), also known as Sun Yixian, (originally Sun Wen) was a Chinese revolutionary and political leader often referred to as the Father of Modern China. Sun played an instrumental role in the eventual collapse of the Qing Dynasty in 1911. He was the first provisional president when the Republic of China (ROC) was founded in 1912 and later co-founded the Kuomintang (KMT) where he served as its first leader. Sun was a uniting figure in post-Imperial China, and remains unique among 20th-century Chinese politicians for being widely revered in both Mainland China and Taiwan.

Although Sun is considered one of the greatest leaders of modern China, his political life was one of constant struggle and frequent exile. After the success of the revolution, he quickly fell out of power in the newly-founded Republic of China, and led successive revolutionary governments as a challenge to the warlords who controlled much of the nation. Sun did not live to see his party consolidate its power over the country. His party, which formed a fragile alliance with the Communists, split into two factions after his death. Sun’s chief legacy resides in his developing a political philosophy known as the Three Principles of the People (The People’s Relation/Connection, The People’s Power, and the People’s Livelihood/Welfare, or sometimes known as nationalism, democracy/sovereignty, and socialism/livelihood depending on the translation).

An old story goes that once there were four single men, leading very boring lives. None of them were married, or had lovers, or did anything exciting. They just sat around all day and played Mahjong(麻将).

One day they played Mahjong from 11 in the morning until 11 at night. During the game, no matter who won, the winning card was always the ‘four columns’ card (the card shows four independent, parallel columns in two lines). Even more of a coincidence, it was Nov 11, or 11/11. In order to commemorate the day, they nicknamed it “Singles Day”.

University culture

“Singles Day” was first celebrated at various universities in Nanjing, capital city of Jiangsu Province during the 1990s. It got the name “Singles Day” because the date is comprised of four “ones”. These college students have since graduated, and carried their university tradition into society. Singles Day is now a special day for all fashionable youths.

The main way to celebrate “Singles Day” is to have dinner with your single friends, but it’s important that each person pay their own way to show their independence. People also hold ‘blind date’parties in an attempt to bid goodbye to their single lives.

Creative celebration

For breakfast on “Singles Day”, singles often eat four youtiao (deep-fried dough sticks) representing the four “ones” in “11.11″ and one baozi (steamed stuffed buns) representing the middle dot.

Many singles also choose to say goodbye to their single lives on this day. Many attend ‘blind date’ parties and many people choose to marry on this day. In addition to meaning ‘single’ the four ‘ones’ of the date can also mean ‘only one’ as in ‘the only one for me.’ Some people will use this date and this meaning to tell their special someone that they are the only ‘one’ in their heart.
